FIRST TIME AT TRACK
FIRST TIME AT TRACK
well it was my first night at the track and im not happy. first of all i couldnt hit third for anything. my best pass was a 15.0 still with a bad 2nd to third shift. i have an aem intake and mugen exaust, can i expect better slips if i drive better this week. any advice that could help id appreciate. thanks.
Re: FIRST TIME AT TRACK
First time I went with my R I did 15.0 with shitty 3000 rpm launching.
Going back this week end, stock ITR. Might slap on a set of R compound tires to see the difference.
Id like to do 14.6

Re: FIRST TIME AT TRACK
launch a bit higher (idealy around 5500-6500) for the better times... you'll ideally want to spin through your 60's but not too much further.

My best time was 14.878@95.8 in 40 degree weather @ 1100ft. stock minus an intake. Most of the night i was running 15.0s, 14s came right before I left. I went back a few months ago and couldnt pull better than a 15.1 in 80 degree weather, 75% hum. and bald ass tires. Just goes to show you how well tires and good weather help. My average for that nice was 15.3s btw my best ever 60ft was a 2.369
'98 Integra Type R #363
14.4 stock and a 2.2 60ft. Launched at 5500, barely spun just feathered but as soon as you feel traction nail it. I had the spare, jack, passenger seat and just about everything else not bolted down removed. Tire pressure on Nitto NT450's was 21.5 PSI. Also I had less than a 1/4 tank of gas and the top of the intake box was removed. Conditions were 70ish with high humidity, but elevation since I'm in FL was no more than 50 feet. It just takes practice. Feel the car and know when to put the hammer all the way down.
