Thinking About Selling one of my cars...... Which One?

Post by Rob D (97-317) »

Hey all,

Those that know me know how I am about cars....... Very picky but I get bored fast. I think its time for me to sell something. Let me know what you think I should get rid of and also let me know if you have an interest in buying any of them.

Here's what I have:

01' Audi S4- Santorin Blue, Black/Silver Alcantara Interior, 6spd, Premium, Bose, (everything but nav and heated seats) 16,000 miles (stock)
97' Integra Type-R (317)- Bone stock, extremely low miles, never driven in rain, garage queen...... I probably will NOT sell this car, Victor has first dibs if I do.
95' Honda Del Sol VTEC- Dark Green, original DOHC car, 95,000 miles, tastefully modded, no exterior mods except shaved and relocated antenna, original all stainless RS-R exhaust, stainless DC header, 5-way Tokico's and ground controls, all services done including timing belt etc....

I don't really feel the need to do a poll...... I'm really just seeing where the interest lies.....

Thanks all!

well, I would pick which ever one has the least sentimental meaning to you. You obviously love the R since you said you most likely wont be selling it... and you did work to the del sol... you havent really done any work to the audi. Just pick which two mean the most to ya, and sell the other..

i might be able to afford the audi if you sell that. the del sol is what i would really like to buy, but if it was me i would keep it. so hard to find one like that

Be careful with your choice...get rid of the Del Sol - that guarantees you won't be having any kids soon. If you sell the Audi, 'murphy's law' will cause you to need a back seat

Too late on that one...... my wife is 5 months along! :D I am actually leaning toward selling the Audi right now. The del sol would become my daily commute car and I am thinking about getting a TL, TSX, or new Legacy (05') as the 4 door replacement. My wife already has a Honda Pilot so her side is taken care of. What to do, what to do.......

I don't know the safety rating of either the Audi or the Delsol but as for a daily commuter and a Father to be I'd rather see you drive a full size car. Keep the audi. I did read that you would get a 4dr acura to replace it, when will that happen?

It does seem like your leaning toward having a all Honda family too  Noice.

Well, I took a friend out car shopping and had her get the TSX. She is soo happy she has one now.

Now with the TL out, I must say, I love that car. I know you'd be happy with either, but I can see you in the TL!

Here is what my wife thinks......

Sell the S4. She has always been kind of so-so on it anyway.

I've been looking at a new job that will have me commuting 40 miles each way per day. So she thinks I should buy a friend of mine's 92 Civic Si for a commuter car (its mega cheap), and then buy a TSX as my other car. She really likes the TSX (as do I).

So basically she thinks I should sell one car and buy 2. That would give us a grand total of 5 cars! I just don't know...... thoughts?

My insurance loves it when I call....... everyone in the office knows me. Of course, I'm probably paying at least one of their salaries all by myself......

My decision is getting close and it looks like the Audi might be up for sale soon. So if anyone is interested let me know. Victor, I know you wanted Warren's car back when he put it up for sale.... do you want this one?

I'd love to have it, but there is too many things going on in my life right now, so that would be a bad decision. I say hold on to the R, and go bye bye with the S4.

The S4 is up for sale. Interested? Email me or reply in the thread.

I bought my friends 92 Si this weekend (it was too good a deal to pass up). So for the time being I have 5 cars.

I drove a TL (6spd) and a TSX (6spd) this weekend. The TL has very nice linear power and is very comfortable. I didn't really like the clutch engagment especially 1-2 and its a little bigger than I really like. The TSX is wonderful. The tranny is sooo nice. It just feels a little under powered to me. I am going to drive an EVO and an STi this coming weekend. My wife says I can buy anything we can afford as long as I am willing to sell something when the baby comes (July). So I am also looking at a 04 M3 Cab, a 96 911 C4s, and a 93 NSX (all in white......). We shall see......

I've decided against most of those choices...... In the next couple of weeks I will be starting my commute to NOVA. Can you believe I've been with my current company for 7 yrs and I am the head of my department and they didn't even counter offer when I told them I was leaving!

The S4 is still for sale though.

On the EXPO side of things...... It's going to be difficult with the new weekend (July 24). That is the week that my wife is due with our first.

how much are you asking for the S4, i saw its on sale. I kinda need a beater so my R stays clean and low mileage (8214 miles exactly). maybe i can afford it, if not, mod the R and make it my daily driver.

I'm asking 29K OBO for the S4.

I passed 17K miles this past weekend and its warranty is good until 8/2005 or 50,000 miles..... whichever comes first.

Not really sure if I would consider this car a beater though.....

Let me know if you are interested.
