hey Midwest people! I just moved back to St. Louis a couple weeks ago from Maryland and had a couple questions.. I am a member of NASA-VA and am trying to do more HPDE's, but out here now. Any reccomendations on tracks or events in this area this summer to try and make?
Also, my roll cage was about 1/2 done before I had to take it back to drag out here with me.. Any suggestions on cage builders in the area to finish it? I *may* already have someone lined up, but I'm keeping my options open..
Thanks!

The expo....
okay, now for local stuff.

The Audi, and Porsche clubs are great. Porsche region offers an open Friday track day too which is well worth the extra money.
We go up to Omaha to MidAmerica Motorsports park 1-2 times a year, but I haven't got an event date yet (~September). http://www.midamericamotorplex.com/

thanks jeff.. i had already signed up and paid to go to the expo (and went last year - I've been around awhile, just not out here), but I don't know that I'm going to go now that it's only 1 day and quite a ways away..
i'll check out the other info you posted though.. thanks!
also, I know MAM, Putnam Park, and Gateway, but what other courses are there around here?

You should come out to Gateway on 7/31-8/1 for the scca races. I'll be running the ITA crx and could sure use a pit crew
. As for cage builders, you should call PFM Racing in St.Louis, ask for Jude. He's a damn wizard when it comes to fabbing cages and racing stuff, and he's a pretty cool guy. I'll try and find you at the expo, it would be nice to have a "caravan" for the drive back to MO.

Driving FLAT OUT in an actual supercar - like I do - is an art form. I can’t expect you to understand.
