Favorite Year for Type-R
Favorite Year for Type-R
Personally, I like '98. Not only because I have one, but for other reasons. I prefer the front lights of the '98 to the '97, as well as the rear bumper design. The black interior with red stitching is much nicer with a matching shift nob from the '00~'02. Championship White is always the Type-R's signature color (other than Euro Accord Type-R), and just looks better (to me) than yellow/black. I also don't really care for the carbon fiber look for the center console '00~'02.

Favorite year is 98!
98 is the best year to me because for one, it has to be Championship White. The front end on the 98 is more aggresive than the previous year. The 97 still looks rad but too much like my 97 Prelude. Secondly, I guess would be the 2000-01 black ones because the gunmetal rims look good with the black. Overall, the R is know (distinguished) for it's white paint and white rims to boot.

Any year that look like mine ( a 2000) is a cool year. I like the yellow ones alot although i own a black 2000 ITR, yellow is such an exotic color and the ITR in my mind is a rare and exotic car. Plus i like the way yellow ITR's look with black rims and a carbon fiber hood... the true racecar look, i dig that.

The 2001 and 2002 are a bit stronger in the HP arena, but ITRs where made to be CW, so that excludes them. 1998 looks better, smoother, and slightly more aggresive, but the 1997 says "who me?" and is the rarest of the rare. Being that I'm a big fan of the sleeper, and enjoy the exclusivity I'm going to say 1997.

2001 ITR Black / i wouldnt have minded white but this was the last new Honda ITR DC2 left in OZ so i'd settle for black rather than get get a DC5 for extra $$$.
Now that i have black, nothing can compare to a black ITR with white race rims (even with CW ITR rims it looks insane ). Full sick Darth Vader mode.
