How many miles on your R?

Post by Bbasso »

How many miles on your caR and try to break it down.

For the first 6months I put on a Min of 450 a week.
then from that point for another year I logged about 200 a week.
and then 300 a week up until 2 years ago.
And then there was trips and such...
5000 miles for ITR Expo5
4000 miles for Fl back in 2002
and the other shorter trips to track events and such.

The caR currently has a hair under 69,000.

Honestly, Im not sure how much I have on my car since I've had a few gauge clusters and my stock one has been stolen.

Anyway, after adding together how many miles were on it when I got it plus just miles to and from work Im looking at 110,700.

Its my daily driver so Im sure Im up to about 150k. I've been known to do alot of extra driving.

Granted the motor was replaced at about 90k right after my gauge cluster got stolen.

I know Im a bad owner. :P This is in a 4yr span.

My R is only at 54,xxx miles, not bad for a 2000.

It's been to Expo 2-3-4-5 and many HPDE's at The Glen, VIR, LimeRock etc.

And also has been a daily driver during those times :)

but now, it's been sitting on jackstands for a year :(

Sitting at 37k right now... I love her so much I put 20k on her last year alone. (not a daily driver either)

Trying so hard not to but in So Cal its sunny everyday! She'll be happy when we make the move to the east coast so she'll get a rest now and again....

That's a crying shame...I know how you can fix it! We'll post more about the Expo 7 later ;)

So all of you don't have a log of trips and what you put on during DD ?

Knowing what you have total is boring, knowing how you got all the miles is interesting.

Well, with 01-0559 (RIP  ) I got her with 53k, put on 17k in the year and a half I owned her.

With my current 00-0031, I got her with yet again 53k, but this one's different. The motor only has about 10k (previous owner hydrolocked the car, and a long block from Honda was installed) and the chassis has the 53k. I've put maybe 50 miles on the car since I've had it (yeah, illegally on the street testing things out) and hopefully all the rest of the miles on the car will all be track mileage. :D
