Some tinters will say no problem and some say problem. But on all of my cars it always looks like crap. My suggestion would be for you to ask your tinter to show you on your car how it will look when done as a small sample. I have seen only one car with a peice of solid black vinyl only on the dot matrix frit and it looked very good from the outside but was noticeable from the inside.
I just gave up on worring about it and tell them to tint right over it.

If you like to have a faded interior then Yes ftw, But if you like to preserve the nice dark black color and not turn everything purple/blue then tint is the winnarTypeR1461 wrote:No tint's FTWTEGGYMANN22 wrote:thanks man my itr came with the back window tinted and it looks like shitt

I did a fair bit of research before I had my DC5 (daily driver) tinted. The most reputable company I found was a certified "formulaone" tint installer. You can check for local dealers on their website:
http://www.formulaone.com/
They have proprietary technology...and the product/install is covered under a nation-wide lifetime warranty. Their installers are trained and certified in the installation process. And they don't do cheesy "pieced together" tinting on the hatch glass...it is all one piece and laid out by computer templates.
They did an outstanding job (but it does cost a bit more than the everyday tint install)...and they were able to tint the "dot matrix" around the perimeter of the glass without issue.
I have not had my ITR tinted (because I only drive it for track duty/or spirited weekend driving...otherwise it is under cover in the garage)...but after the outcome I got from the RSX-S, I am thinking about reconsidering.
I would suggest at least check them out and see what they have to offer.

I got mine done in Atlanta GA...I went with the premier at 32%, and got the windshield banner as well. The whole thing was $325 ($275 for car and $50 for the banner). I know that it is more expensive, but you get what you pay for in my opinion.
Too bad that they are not close to your house...maybe you could plan to do it next time you take the car out of town.
Cheers!

not much you can really do to the dot matrix.
my tint installer said there's no real way to actually tint it properly unless you sand them down or not tint that area.
i said fook it, and it doesn't look that bad, but still bothers me and i have to protect my investment as i don't want these seats to fade.

if u have better close up pics of the tint that would be sweet....considering gettin tint due to where i live and my new work schedule, and so far the look of ur rsx looks good. we have a formulaone company in my city as well. unfortunately my R is a daily driver and might be in the sun a tad more than id like.
