Does size of intercooler pipe matter guys, and what size is best?

yes it does matter.
I would personally match the size to the compressor outlet, or just a touch bigger.

mine is 2.5" IC piping the greddy stuff is 2" and it is small. match the piping to the compressor discharge or slightly bigger.
