Buying Question

Post by ITR010342 »

I have just started to be able to buy some mods for my Type R and I already have a problem. Has anyone bought anything that is "supposedly" for a Type R and it is very far from fitting on your car when you get it. I bought a Greddy Air Diversion Panel and it is nowheres near close to fitting under my hood. I'm really pissed about it. Just wondering if anyone else has had that problem.

I never heard of that, return it and buy something that is proven to work on the ITR such as a AEM CAI or Mugen intake.

Yeah, thats what i'm going to try and do. i already have a full AEM CAI. This panel is just for your radiator and it is cut completely wrong.

You already have the AEM CAI, good. But like I said I never heard of the panel thing. can you show me it or a link with some info on it?
I have my aem cai for 5+ years and never thought I needed anything else with it...

I ordered one of these from a local distributor. I honestly don't think it is a real Greddy part though. The box was really shady looking and the part is super flimsy. Overall, it is seems pretty cheesy. :(

If I'm not mistaken that is for the JDM front end. Do you have?

I have the stock front end. The distributor and Greddy said that this was for the OEM front end and would conflict if put on any other front end. Maybe they sent me the JDM panel instead?

Well, i talked to my distributor last night. they said that the Greddy panel was not made for a Type R, it was for a gsr, but i dont understand why there would be such a difference :? Anyway, they are giving me my money back. now i will invest in something that actually works on my car. :D

You more than likely got the JDM version and notn the US. Greddy makes one for each version. Just have then take back the one you got and send the right one.
