s2000 oil filter

Post by itrekcivic »

I have read on here that the s2000 oil filter is the best filter for the itr. So i went to honda and bought two s2k filters. But im chescking to see if it matters about the year of the s2k. Does it need to be ap1 or ap2 or does it matter. If it helps the part number is 15400-pcx-004. Is this the right filter?

Should have gotten AMSOIL. They have the best filters and oil on the market. if you really want the best for your ITR you should put nothing but AMSOIL in it.

AMSOIL is not nearly as efective if you are not using their filters. I would not use s2k filters if I were you.

I agree with Markusirealius01. If you've got Amsoil oil, get their Ea filter, too. That's what I have in my Tacoma.

On my DC4, I run dino and use Purolator filters and/or OEM.

There is not a damn thing wrong with using OEM honda filters. If you feel the need to waste money on amsoil, go for it.

The S2000 filter is the original size that the civic/integra used to come with prior to honda updating part numbers and changing to the smaller filter.

There is sufficient evidence to indicate that the rate of increase in output per unit increase of input decreases as the input increases

Whoa buddy. dont get so heated. If you dont like amsoil that is fine. and no one ever said that OEM Honda filters were bad. Have you ever used amsoil? If so what did you not like about it? All i was saying is that amsoil is made to be used with their filters. I was just making a reccomendation.

I use S2K filters and I have never had a problem with them... I really don't see the point of using a filter that is twice as expensive that shows no quantifiable difference.
