so last night i removed and cleaned the IACV on the cibbix... and installed a new 'figure 8 rubber o-ring'.
lots of nasty stuff came out and I was happy with my work (idle did not change).

so I go to pull off the pcv valve to see how nasty it is... and it fawking broke.
9:30pm... and there is one 24hr place sorta close... but they did not have one in stock.

me = said f'it... and capped the bung on the intake manifold and just let the fumes fly on the drive into work this am.

cx/vx pcv valves = don't have the little rattle piece inside of them... but they don't sell them any more.
time to modify one.

Well, if I end up going to Jack's, I'll be leaving earlier than planned. P and Mike would be leaving later, so I guess little nolan would have a choice.

What does gutting the inside do?

not 100% sure... but peeps speculate that more negative crankcase pressure the greater the fuel economy.

I aSSume that the dealer stopped selling them is because of the enviroment... but who knows.

hypermilers just take a new one and cut the bottom of it off and remove the guts making it an open path.

He might be and Nathaniel might not be able to come down until Mike & P come down. So, it would have to be figured out before.
