WTB 97-98 ITR in 1 - 2 months

Hello everyone,

An ITR has always been my dream car and I am finally making it come true by owning one soon (hopefully). My favorite color is white so I am restricting my search to 97-98 if you guys even care . I will have the time to get the car in a month or two. I am located in Southern California, but I do not mind traveling at all and driving back home to put her in my garage.

What I am looking for:

- Clean Title. Salvage due to Theft Recovery is OK also.
- nothing over 120k miles. The lower the better !
- Exterior/Interior in really good condition
- no rust!!
- All maintenance completed

My budget is $12K. I don't mind spending a LITTLE more, but the car has to be in really good condition.

I will baby this car like no other.

By the way, I am a newb when it comes to cars, so I will be visiting this forum often seeking help/advice. Any tips as to what I should look for into buying an ITR would be greatly appreciated! Thank you ahead of time and have a nice day.

First and foremost, welcome to the forum.

Being that your in California, and looking at an ITR are you planning on Daily Driving the car? Or a weekend fun car? Are you aware of the VERY SERIOUS theft issues surrounding these cars? Do you have a garage?

I put all of that out there first for a few reasons. I'd hate to see a new owner posting just weeks later how their car got stolen. Feel free to ask any questions about security (you will most likely get responses via PM for security reasons) or other items.

You should be able to find what your looking for, in your price but it may be a theft recovery.

I might help you with your find.
My friend has a 2000 type -r balck in excellent condition. He is thinking of buying. I will ask him how much he will take. Car pretty much stays in storage, he drives an escalade as his daily driver.
