I just got a set of enkei rpm2 17s for my type r. they look sweet but the ride height is way too high. i want something relatively cheap and cant see myself spending 2 grand for coilovers. do you guys know anything about adjustable springs? i was checking them out on some websites and they seem like a cost effectove alternative to coil overs. let me know what you think, im open to any suggestions.

thanks

Just get a set of H&R Sport Springs. I run them (street/track) and I know alot of other people who also run them, and everyone I've talked to loves'em.

I have some Ground Control coilovers, 400# front and 500# rear. I'm using them in conjunction w/Koni yellows.

We just finished readjusting the Konis, and all I can say is the old thing can definitely scoot through some curves. :)

My car's only 1/2" lower than stock, but there's quite a bit of adjustment in the coilovers to do whatever you need.

Ground Controls coilovers are not expensive, but you will also probably need new shocks of a sporty variety. Bilsteins, Koni yellows, or KYB are all fine.

I'm with RedKroovy on this one, I'd just get a set of H&R sport springs, they'll cost you between like 150-225 depending on where you get them, and the ride height is perfect, not to low and just enough tuck where it won't rub under hard cornering...

If you want a set of coilovers, you don't have to spend 2G's though, closer to like a grand...look into it more, and you may find out there not as expensive as you think, or some aren't...you may also find a very nice set used, for not a lot of money, I got lucky and did.

If you're just looking for aesthetics, then go with the H&R's, otherwise, invest in a full coilover setup, you'll be glad later...

Peace,
Aj

Thanks for the advice, i will look into the H & Rs. I was searching ebay and found some coilovers that look like a pretty good deal. (if the bidding stays low) Do you guys know anything about an Endless Zeal Full Suspension System (B kit)? The link to ebay is

Thanks

haha thanks AJ. Actually I woudl not swear by those . . . I swear by the design not the brand. TEIN makes the design I have in the Zeals but only in the top sets that are much more exspensive. I do think Zeal uses better meterial that TEIn but you need to look at Zeal B6/S6, TEIN RE, and Buddy Club has a model as well that has the stroke indepoendent height adjustment feature.

I do Like Zeal but I like TEIN too. Not seen Buddy CLub before.

Trey, do you think it would be worth like 700 or 800 for me to get them...or continue shopping around? I know they would not be the best coilovers...but hopefully a good step up from just springs. Thanks.
