Go Daddy sucks IMO. We use it for ITRCA currently and it's a pain int he ass to navigate. I'd say 1&1 or Dotster. My new favorite hosting site if you don't need windows servers is http://www.angryhosting.com.

I agree with Trey if you are working on a more complicated site - godaddy isn't real smooth.
However, it's pretty cheap & easy for a site like http://www.nocoastracing.com or http://www.wagnersbaseball.com. These were built with Dreamweaver. No fancy stuff. The wagner's site is actually a template I bought & modified. This is sufficient for most personal web stuff (car junk, family pictures, etc.)

I'm confused... i thought the question was for domain name registration... not hosting services.

There is sufficient evidence to indicate that the rate of increase in output per unit increase of input decreases as the input increases

Go Daddy sucks to get into your account for all things. Domain Registration, Hosting, . . .
I've hosted ITRCA alone in about 4-5 different places and Go Daddy is the most difficult to use.

i agree, i doesn't really matter where you register your domain so much... its the hosting that makes a huge difference.
