Disappointed at the skill level? How many EXPO's have you been to? Sounds like it may be your first. Predominantly, ITR owners have been getting younger and younger due to the cost of the car dropping. If you want a crowd to your caliber, maybe you should stick with NASA. Personally, the ones I have...

Axle problem (pictures)

Long story short, I broke an axle at the track so I decided to change them both out on my ITR. We all know axle jobs are designed to be nearly a 15 minute job provided you have the correct tools. Well, that wasnt the case here, BOTH axles FROZE in their hubs. They froze SO BADLY, PB blaster wouldnt ...

Drag strip: Broke something.....

I ran my Turbo R at the track on 7PSI. My tire choice was BFGoodrich 205-50-15 Drag Radials. I used 14PSI in both of them. I launched at 7K because I didnt want to bog. Well, when I launched, something gave way. Half way down the track, the entire started to vibrate. I drove it home in 5th gear crui...

Texas to South Illinois caravan

A group of members and I have decided to meet in Effingham, IL. This is about 1 hour east of St Louis.

I will be traveling from East Texas. My route will involve me going through Little Rock, Memphis, go north up to the 57 and meet up with some folks.

Well, when I change oil I place 5qts in there. I start the car to normal operating temperature. Shut it off. Immediately check the fluid level. Thats how you need to check it.

After the 5qts are placed in, the dipstick is just hair over the top dot.
