Re: DAMN THOSE HATERS!!!!!!!

We almost always take the wife's SUV if we're going out to the mall or a retaurant or something, some people have no respect for anothers property. Losers that mess with other people cars should be hanged in the town square, like back in the old west times, when a horse thief was caught, they killed...

Re: 2nd car?

Here's my story. I had a 1997 Eclipse Spyder GST with a ton of mods that I didn't want to daily drive, so the list of beaters begins, I had an 86 CRX SI with the ZC swap got rid of that for a 92 Prelude SI, then finally I got rid of that for a 1994 CX hatch and did the SOHC Vtec swap on it. Finally ...

Re: s2000 cat

I am looking for a nice aftermarket cat to bolt onto my car. I want to get the JDM style DC header or the OEM JDM header and I heard that the S2000 is a direct replacement since the collector on the JDM is 2.5 and won't bolt to the stock ITR cat. I figure I may as well get a better performing cat wh...

Re: Is your stock tach accurate?

Well I discovered my "cutoff" is just past 8500, I did it at a stop sign, then I ran it right to the cutoff for the first 3 gears, I think I was shifting at 8500, the one time I swore the tach was closer to 9k when I shifted. It is unreal how far the motor revs. Learn your R guy . R's are ...

s2000 cat

I was told that a S2000 cat will bolt directly to the ITR catback and will allow the JDM header, or DC sports JDM header to bolt up without modification due to it's larger size, also the S2000 cat will flow more than the ITR? Can anyone confirm or dis-confirm this for me?

Re: How much mileage do you get BEFORE the gas light comes on????

I kick the shit out of my R lots of bouncing i get 160-180 miles to a full tank.
You must, cause I can be really tough on mine but I've never dipped that low, well okay, maybe once or twice I've only gotten 180 miles

Re: You think your R is slow Typeruz?

The Prelude is gonna "feel" faster because it has more low end torque I believe, it is 2.2 liters. The beauty of the R is that it has seemless power, it's quick but you don't realize how quick. Are you sure your shifting it properly? I hate to go back to driver but I gotta ask. If you are ...

I have the Tanabe SRM and I can tell you that it is strait through and very very loud. My ITR sounds like an F1 car when Vtec is engaged, especially under bridges and in tunnels.  I'm sure if a cop heard the Vtec for too long I would be getting pulled over, it's that loud. But off vtec it...

damn.....so howfar can I rev my R, I've shifted at 8500 RPM, never brave enough to keep my foot in it past there. This is a stupid noob question but will it hurt if I keep my foot in it just to see where it cuts? I get really nervous when I'm up around 8500 RPM'S

Re: Insurance for a 17 year old kid

Buy a CRX or an older hatch until you get a little older, run the SOHC motor for a while until you get really good at driving, then step up to something fast. Car control skills are much easier to learn when the limits of adhesion is slower and lower. I drove an 81 Escort when I was 16, it was a POS...

Re: How much mileage do you get BEFORE the gas light comes on????

It all about how you drive, and where. I've gotten 230 miles on a tank, that was really driving hard on backroads for most of a weekend, and I've gotten 270 or so on the highway, little VTEC'ing. If your beating it and running hard a lot don't look for much more than 20-25 MPG....

Re: Help!!!

Well this is how it works in PA. You get estimates from a few body shops for the repair. Then you get the insurance check in your name and the body shops name if you have a loan still, then you go to the body shop and have them order the parts you want from where you want, JDM conversion parts are t...

I used spray detailer, like Meguires showtime, or Mothers spray detailer to keep the bar and paint lubricated. It worked very well, I would stay away from glass cleaner on the paint, though it works great on wheels

Re: You think your R is slow Typeruz?

you may have a bad 02 sensor, or at least one going bye bye that is causing the ECU to dump excessive fuel, causing you to run richer than you should. Have you thrown any CEL's? You also might want to check out where your getting gas from, maybe you've been getting screwed at the pump, I fill up at ...

I got rid of my 350 horsepower 97 Eclipse Spyder GST for my 2000 ITR. I miss the strait line acceleration my DSM had, but that is it. My ITR is hands down the best car I have ever owned. The handling is simply unreal, I love when someone gets behind me on a back road, the most recent was a guy in a ...

I guess it all depends on wh...
